Through this Consortium, we aim to establish a formal collaborative platform bringing together randomized controlled trials and cohort studies to facilitate high-quality research on the effectiveness of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in women with gestational diabetes (GDM), focusing on glycaemic control during pregnancy, maternal and neonatal outcomes, participant-reported outcomes, the association between CGM metrics and pregnancy outcomes, and the risk of postpartum hyperglycaemia. In addition, we seek to create a robust collaboration infrastructure that enables individual participant data meta-analyses and sufficiently large study populations to address clinically relevant research questions in this field.
